In August the DCE virtually visited the Walk/Bike/Places Conference in the USA, for which we created a digital photo exhibition in partnership with the Netherlands Embassy in Washington DC called “The Joy Of Dutch Cycling: Scenes From Safe And Social Streets”.

The exposition offered a glimpse of what is possible when a road network does not rhyme with car traffic fluidity, but rather with safe space for everyone: socialization, family rides, ease and comfort, smiles, lively human-scale spaces, independent children, flexibility, and much, much more.
